The best way to get the difficult areas like windows of huge buildings and old historical monuments cleaned is by hiring Commercial Cleaning Contractors. Cleaning of these areas requires many equipments and this job cannot be done by non professionals. High pressure cleaning is a technology used by many commercial cleaning service providers. The other names given to this technology are Hydro cleaning and water blasting. In this technology a machine is used which cleans with the help of a pressurized water stream which is focused on a target area. The force of water cleans the target area. This technology is being applied to remove paints, artificial rubber, sealants and membranes from walls and highways etc.

This technology is categorized into three types –

1) .High pressure water cleaning- A pressure of 5000- 10000 psi is used in this technique.

2) High pressure water jetting - A pressure of 10000- 25000 psi is used in this technique.

3) Ultrahigh pressure water jetting - A pressure of more than 25000 psi is used in this technique.

The High pressure cleaning technology is applied when there is a need of cleaning areas like surfaces of large buildings, old historical monuments etc. This technology can also help in getting the old paints removed from buildings, highways, runways, parking lots and metal surfaces. The main advantage of this technique is the force generated due to the force of water which cannot be generated manually.

Different kinds of Swivels connected to long pipes for water supply are the basic equipments used in high pressure cleaning. Other accessories like rotor arms, duct cleaner, roof cleaner and surface cleaner also play a major role in conducting the cleaning projects through this technique. These accessories can be attached to the swivel according to the need of the cleaning job. Special accessories like booms, wands, air systems etc are also very common nowadays.

This technique has certain limitations like excessive usage of power to make the water stream reach the difficult cleaning locations. The high cost of the technique also limits its usage as training the staff and purchasing proper equipments is quite expensive for the commercial cleaning contractors who in turn charge a lot of money from the customers. Another very important limitation of high pressure cleaning is that fragile areas like glass cannot be cleaned with forced water as there is a risk of breakage. In Commercial Carpet Cleaning ,there is no use of this technology because customers mostly choose dry carpet cleaning. Water scarcity is the global problem in today’s world and the need of large quantities of water in this technology further limits its usage.

Therefore the high pressure cleaning technology has both dark and bright sides but its role cannot be played by the other means of techniques used by professional cleaning contractors. The high pressure cleaning has a remarkable role in the maintenance of historical monuments. Therefore in spite of its high cost and certain discomforts in its usage, this method is one of the most efficient methods of cleaning.
